About triathlon Wetsuits

Modern triathlon wetsuits were invented by Dan Empfield in 1987 and are customized to the needs of triathletes, they generally incorporate the following key features which differentiates them from a normal wetsuit. 1, Thinner and/or more pliable rubber near the shoulders. 2, Long zippers to facilitate quick removal during transition. In addition, tri wetsuits have a very smooth, but often fragile, surface. This slick surface helps to reduce water friction and allows a faster swim. Another advantage of a tri wetsuit is the added buoyancy that the wetsuit provides, this can provide triathletes with a considerable speed and energy saving advantage over swimming without a suit.Dryrobe keeping you dry and warm

Dryrobe Reviews

My wife bought me this for a Birthday gift and I really love it. I use it before and after runs and tri-events it is ideal. It is warm and cosy and very versatile. I am 6ft 2in and 18st and the standard adult size is plenty big enough my wife loves it so much she bought herself one in the junior size as mine burries her. The price tag is quite steep but worth every penny.

Pros Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality

Cons Expensive

This robe is nice to have on chilly days, if you’re out swimming or surfing. On warm days this robe is a little too much as you get really warm quickly.  The Dryrobe is quite big, so you’ll need a big bag if you’re dragging this along. I will not bring this when bicycling to where I usually swim outdoors, I’ll have to drive before I drag it along. The double zipps is perfect if you need more room for getting your feet inside a wetsuit. Open the zip from below a little, and you are still covered if you need to.

Pros  High Quality

Cons Bulky

Thought a while about getting one of these. The price put me off. Ideal to use it at every open swimming session and pre/post triathlons.  Great to keep or get warm, but also to get changed under by the car.  Saves those busy, dirty changing rooms. After last weekends triathlon in the heavy rain and wind I might have looked at the long sleeve version that is available but costs more.

Pros  High Quality

Cons Bulky, expensive
